Apart from the war against drugs His Excellency promised,
President Rodrigo Duterte has also given people of the Philippines assurance that he is
working closely with the foreign missions of several countries to ensure that
Filipinos do not go through the hassle of obtaining visas when traveling to
such destinations.
President Rodrigo Duterte made this comment when he was
lamenting on the huge amount of money the Philippines loses daily to various
embassies as means of applying for visas.
“We lost so much monies to these embassies and their people
do not even need visas when visiting the Philippines. So I’m working closely
with them to make sure a bilateral visa agreement is signed.” – Duterte said.
According to the President, plans are far
advanced for the Philippines to sign bilateral visa agreements with over 15
countries
